You may be young now, but try thinking ahead. What would you rather: someone liking you for who you are, or someone liking you because of what you look like? Your looks aren’t always going to be there, but your personality will always shine through- you should look out for guys that like your personality, not your looks!
And your personality is defined by what makes you COMFORTABLE. If you’re not comfortable flirting with guys, sitting on their laps, kissing in public (which is what I see some girls doing (boys call them “skanks”), then don’t do that to get a boy’s attention- those boys aren’t usually worth it! Be comfortable with yourself and you’ll find you’ll become a magnet because everybody likes feeling comfortable, and you’ll be their model.
And finally, if you think about it, ‘standing out’ means you have to be very different from the rest: punk, goth, clowns, batgirl. They stand out, but at what cost?
If he likes you, your presence alone will stand out to him. If you force it, it may break- like forcing a wrong key in a door!
PS: Concentrate on school more than boys- when you finish school you’ll be pushing them away!
