What is the typical salary for a pretty recent college graduate working in NYC?
Can you recommend and fairly inexpensive places to live that are safe? Any other tips about living/working in NYC would also be helpful.

Typical Salaries start at 40k, I would suggest finding a roomate if you are going to live in NYC, and as for living in NYC I would say the best place to live is in Greenwich Village.

New York City is a big an expensive place. A lot will depend on what your major was in College. Work always exists but be prepared to work at a lower salary until you gain more experience.

the best places to live i guess would be in queens. you can live in forest hills, rego park, whitestone and probably a few other places that aren’t too pricey. i think you should get to know the subway system well, because it can be the only method of travel between the boroughs.
