As far as I can tell you, the words Alyssum and Gale mean flower and wind, respectively.

So if these are literary characters, Alyssa is probably someone who is either very beautiful, or she grows in character throughout the story. Gail is more than likely someone who is either very strong and influential to others, or she is wishy-washy and changes her mind alot.

Well Alyssa is the girl that is trying to steal my boyfriend but Gail is a nice name. It makes me think of a strong wind. When you think of that in a symbolic way it’s pretty cool.
