I want to work with infants, besides being a daycare teacher what other carees are out there?
I am starting college and don’t know what road to take but am thinking early childhood since I love working with babies. Besides being an under paid Day Care teacher what other careers are out there for me? I have worked at a daycare before and have been a nanny, I am also Billingual English/Spanish. I need help in choosing a carrer so I can know what to study even if it’s not only early childhood. Babies are my passion!

Neontology (MD) — Perfect career because you’re taking care of children after the OB-GYN helped the mother give birth.
Believe it or not the sky is the limit. You know you can get a degree with elementary education and combine that major with special education AND you can teach mentally handicapped kindergarteners (I know a little older then you’re initial scope) but that’s where you’re truly making a difference. If you want to make a difference plus GREAT pay, I recommend the aforementioned career of neontology but that’s a long haul. Anyways, I wish you the best of luck! 🙂

As a bilingual,you should get more pay.they seem to be asking for bilingual substitute teachers everywhere.Their really aren’t many babies except on daycare.Other than a nursery at the hospital.I don’t think that makes any sense..you would have to be a nurse aide.or a licensed nurse and specialize in newborns.or work for a pediatrician.

What about working in a hospital at the child care center there. It would still be with infants/young toddlers and would pay better than your regular child care settings would.
