How is South Africa for banking & finance studies which universities are good & what about its scope there?

I just got back from studying in South Africa. I lived in Port Elizabeth and studied at Nelson Mandela Metropolitain University. While there for 5 months, I never actually met anyone in that field. Therefore, I would guess that the programs can’t be too advanced. However, that is just conjecture.
