The first thing you can do is calm down. I know it seems really scary, but it will pass once you get to school and start meeting people and learning your way around.

When I started college, I went to one that was four hours away from home. I was terrified to leave home, let alone be going so far away.

I’m not going to lie or sugarcoat it because it is going to be an adjustment. It is possible that your roommate will be a serial killer…but it is highly unlikely.

My freshman year alone I went through three roommates. My first one ended up pledging a sorority and becoming an alcoholic, my second weighed about a ton and only showered once a week (she clearly had hygiene issues…I mean, seriously, I had to spray the room with air freshener every time she walked out), and my third…well, she is my best friend…and the rumor that you should never room with a best friend is definitely fact, not myth. You are going to have to be patient. I live with the first roommate for almost two months before I could not take it anymore and moved out. We tried the whole roommate contract thing, and that didn’t work, so when it got to the point we were going to kill each other, I moved out. Funny thing is that we’re still friends. Luckily, my second transfered to another university, and then my best friend and I decided to just get single rooms (even though we were in e/o rooms constantly).

It is going to be rough, and you are going to have to be willing to give things a chance. Try out your roommate, try out new things, join some organizations, and definitely get organized before your classes start, because once they do you are going to be busy.

If you need any pointers on packing and/or things you should def take with, just shoot me an email and I’ll help you out. Let me know if you need anything else. I hope I helped!

Starting college is a very scary thing. However, I just completed my first year in college away from home and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Stay focused!! That’s the best advice I can give you. There will be distraction but no matter what always remember why you are there! And don’t worry about your roommate if they turn out to be crazy, I am sure you can get a new one.

I have been given so bored stiff with the faculty ordeal that after issues have been out of my administration (like when I despatched all purposes and stuff) I ‘gave up’ approximately being concerned approximately maximum issues. of direction I nonetheless cared approximately my grades yet you recognize, I had the delight of understanding those grades wont end my possibilities of stepping into college. Secondly, you’re a SENIOR, you have the appropriate to be the “smart” one in college. I had lots exciting looking down at different grades because of the fact i grew to become into care-loose mutually as they nonetheless had to handle grades. average sadness that pals have been going to diverse faculties yet you recognize, its no longer the top of the worldwide. human beings see one yet another owver the summer season. interior the advise time, you dont omit them because of the fact which you’re keen on your very own existence at school. Have a hella good senior 12 months because of the fact it grew to become into the better element of my extreme college.

You got into college with those English skills….? California really is liberal!

Your roomie will not be a serial killer, college isn’t bad at all and just relax and you will have fun!
