What does “Diving off the deep end” mean, metaphorically?

Metaphorically speaking, its basically the same thing as “Living on The Edge!!” Its a very dangerous life, and your or them are like playing with matches, while thier body is douced with gasoline!! That’s what it means, its someone who frankly lives, with “NO FEAR!!!” and lives very dangerously!!! Okee-Dokee?!! Smile!! I surely hope that someone isn’t you!!!
