ok, my sisters and i want to make movies with me but i think its stupid. they do not understand how ghetto it is without special affects.i need help.

If you think special Effects are necessary, you apparently have no appreciation or training in drama, sets, settings, plot, history, costumes, genres, pioneering styles, or character development.
A camera is not everything.
Affects are behaviors, like tics and accents.
Effects are things you do to enhance the images.
Yes you need help: a few years in film school.
