The teachers are not required to explain it to you, but they are expected to be responsive to student needs. If you cannot get an answer from the instructor, your school has a appeals process in place that will allow you to challenge the grade. Take a look at your student handbook or contact a counselor.

Most Universities make it policy for the professor to talk to a student regarding a discrepancy in grades. In fact, if you do not get satisfaction with the professor, the department chair can offer a challenge in which you the student can take a test(related to the course), and be given a grade based solely on that test. Those test are often very difficult. Good luck.

In HS and public schools, teachers are required to keep records regarding your grade. If there is a discrepancy, it is possible that the teacher show the principal the grade book and not have to talk to you. It is a courtesy. In most cases however, teachers are made to resolve issues regarding grades on their own.

Yes, if you mean discrepancy as in your report card shows a C when your assignments and tests are graded B or A most of time. If you have all your past work make sure to get it out and tell your teacher about it. Hopefully, the teacher just made a mistake punching in the numbers and will fix it correctly. If you have evidence that your grade is higher and he/she still does not want to change it, you should appeal to the principal or to the board of education.

Most professors will discuss grade discrepancies with students as long as the student maintains a respectful attitude. However, it is not required at most universities

It is not required but it is a good idea for the teacher/professor to speak with the student. It’s called being a professional.

It is not a requirement but your professor should respect your discrepancy. If your professor refuses to do so, I would talk to your dean, etc…

That instructor could desire to be fired, below no condition could desire to the Pledge of Allegiance ever be recited in any language different than English. And any person who does is disrespecting our usa, our patriots and individuals!!!!
