good study methods?
i need to study but cant seem to pay attention, does anyone have any good study methods i could try?

Get index cards and make flashcards, recopy your notes, use a marker dry-erase board to illustrate your notes, find a place to study that is away from distractions (computer, tv, people)
Allow yourself to take breaks and reward yourself for studying.
If it’s a really boring subject for you, then get a friend or classmate to study with you. That can help. You can quiz each other.

I heard that we only retain information from the first 5 minutes of study and the last five, so study for 15 minutes and take a 5 minute break.

Try taking short notes on what you study, that way it’s easier to remember. You could also make yourself quizzes for you to answer and see how good you do and what you need to study more.
