More commonly it’s won’t (an abbreviation of will not). (The abbreviation of would not is wouldn’t).
However wont is also a word in its own right. http://www.askoxford.com/concise_oed/wont?view=uk. Means one’s custom or usual behaviour. For example “I have answered a question, as is my wont”.

It’s actually an abbreviation for WILL not–the abb. for WOULD not is “wouldn’t”.
The first guy is wrong.
You definitely need the apostrophe—“wont” is a different word with an entirely different meaning.
