Hi everyone, I asked this question once before but to be more specific, I want to become a Pre School Art Teacher or Hight School Art Teacher, I wish to work with litlle kids, teach them art, and I wish to be one of the best there is.

I asked for any feedback, any advice, schools, links, websites, speciall programs that can help me, and point me to my way. Thank you for the time

I applaud your intentions. the ****** who complained about your spelling had little to complain about—I saw an extra “L” in your text.

Find someone who has done what you want to do, and let him/her be your mentor.

First thing is to get through two years of college and do your prerequisites. get this out of the way, do a bit of volunteer work, and find a person who is doing what you want to do, and latch on. Don’t let go—unless you are asked to.

Good luck and have lotsa blessings—Brian

In Ohio you are licensed pre-school to 12 grade, if you attend a university and get a 4 year degree in art education. Some of the universities are dropping their art ed programs due to a lack of jobs in the field and the belief by many that art, music and PE are trivial and not needed. It is very difficult to find a job in art ed. You have to take whatever job you can find and hope to transfer into a better job if and when one comes along. I don’t mean to discourage you, it is a great vocation, just very difficult (250 + kids a day, minimal supplies, low pay and your job is one of the first cut when a school district is having financial problems). I did it for 30+ years and would do it again.
