Will this statistics get me into NYU, maybe?
Ok im gonna be a junior this year in september. Im gonna take the sat, and im wondering if this stats will get me into nyu.
4 AP classes all with high grades
All classes taken are honors
Came in 6th in a nyc science fair
Tennis Captain
score>2000 SAT
4 SAT suject tests with above 700
40 hours of in school service credit
40 hours of hospital service
40 hours of working in a fast food restaurant
Averages
Fresh Men – 95
Sophomore – 85 I noe its reallly bad
Junior – 98
Senior – circa 98

I’m kind of confused, you say that you are going to be a junior this year but you have averages put down for Junior and Senior year? Ok, putting my confusion aside these all look like you are on a good track to being accepted to NYU. You might want to add more clubs and volunteer hours. Four AP classes are good for one year but do you mean four for all four years? If yes then you might want to consider taking as many as you think you can handle each year. They are really looking for you to show them you are ready for college and you are going to succeed and bring something to the college. Oh, and just to mention, NYU is very expensive and they don’t like to give anybody a lot of aid. They said that if I wanted to go there I would need to pay 20,000 out of pocket and my need was A LOT more then that. Not that money should stop you, just be prepared to pay a lot for your education.

If you want to go to NYU, you’ll probably want to do more than 4 AP classes during high school (hopefully, you’ll at least do three per year in your junior and senior years. It would be a good idea to maybe do four during your senior year). But other than that,y ou should be fine.
