Will I be laghed at in high school for this??
i’m a freshman and this year my mom totally wont let me wear anything and pay a lot of money for it.
So grudgingly i’m going to go for simple chic i think and do solid color tees ( Vneck and scoop neck) in bright colors\
and jeans and skirts
with the solid colored tees i’m going to have chunky necklaces and stuff like a lot of accessories what i’m really going to make my bold mark is with purses and shoes though like bright orange and orange flats and such like that. am i going to be a loser???? 🙁
how can i avoid it?
or make tons of friends?

its been a while since I have been in HS (class of 98). I worked all summer for my school clothes money. Alot of the girls would wear things from the buckle. I didn’t make that much money. I went to stores like Ross, Cato, and even Stage. I wore alot of jeans with solid polo shirts. I would also wear alot of vintage looking t-shirts. I loved jewelry and I was always complimented on my simple style with bold accessories. I was friends with just about everyone. I was never picked on. I think this is a classic look that many people can appreciate. Remember if someone is only going to be your friend for the way you dress they really aren’t a friend. Your friends you make in HS will stand up for you, help you with your homework when you need it and will never sell ya out to a boy. Good Luck with HS. My favorite memories are from that time.

I am a high school teacher and I think that your ideas are great. Colorful necklaces and earrings are going to be the style this year according to the magazines so you will be very in style! I love shoes too and fun shoes are great!

The only way you´re peers will even care what you´re wearing is if you show them that you´re worried about what they think. So wear your clothes with confidence and no one will care. Besides people always like a good bargain shopper! Hope this helps and good luck in high school!
