i was just wondering why the songs issue is important, because i’m not quite sure.

It’s most likely because it is “never again”, which is a common phrase used in reference to the Holocaust. If the song is an issue, which I haven’t heard myself, it is because she is referencing a phrase that is for a much greater tragedy than a girl being scorned.
