mrs. webster, because she understood the fact that if she treated her students fairly then her students would respect her way more than if she were to treat us unfairly, which is what my other teachers did.

I had a teacher my freshman year of college who I just loved. I took Introduction to social work, because I was considering it as a major. In the end, I decided social work wasn’t right for me… but that didn’t stop me from really enjoying the class.

I took so much away from the class. The man was brilliant, and his ideas about reforming the U.S. social system are innovative and wonderful. I have never been so influenced by a teacher to get involved in my community. I have never met a person who was so thoroughly involved in his own community. He was truly passionate about his work, and he taught because he wanted other people to be passionate about it as well. I am so glad I took that class with him, because I became a much more socially aware person than I was before.

The college I attend fairly small, so there aren’t a lot of professors in any one department. It’s just proof that there are little gems everywhere.

my favorite teacher was my sci-fi teacher from a class i took my senior year of highschool…what an amazing guy. he was so passionate about everything, he made you want to learn. i’ve never been impowered by a teacher, the way he pushed you to want to learn without singling you out. he had such a profound effect on my life without doing anything other than just being himself. i remember writing him a letter after i graduated and telling him that he probably wouldn’t remember me, but he touched my soul with his general passion about life and philosophy and i remember getting a letter back from him telling me that he remembered me and was just happy i enjoyed the class. yet, it was so much more than just liking the class, i can’t think of a bad moment from the time i spent in that classroom…

i’ve never met another person with half the passion that man had in talking to us nobodies, us seniors who just needed the english cred, us stupid kids. he treated us as enlightened individuals…i took like 7 years of honors english, then ap english and on my senior year, when i took sci-fi as a blow off class did i finally find an english teacher that made me want to write the kind of things that lit a fire in people. he lit a passion in me that and i don’t think i will never be able to find the words to thank him for that…

my religion teacher is one of my favourites. His lessons are really cool the topics which he faces are not just concerning Christianity but mainly regarding man in his essence. The meaning of life, the grandness of man thru whom God Himself is celebrated. I know it sounds more like philosophy actually he does speak more about philosophy than religion and the coolest part is that he can bring u examples of of even ancient philosophy ( as Plato for example) in modern days. how Plato or Kant’s theories have influnced nowadays thoughts.
