Which types of material should i read as a student of CFA?

I am persuing CFA from ICFAI. I want gain additional knowledge and information apart from acedemic knowledge. Please tell me which kind of information, articles should i focus so as to be more versatile?

For the exam, you better buy a set of studying materials. Here you can find a list of pretty good materials.
