Which do you think looks better to colleges?

Taking five different types of dance one hour a day, everyday for sixteen years? or excelling in four different languages (two offered at school and two through Yale’s undergraduate programs)?

Thanks

I think it depends on what program your are applying to. The four languages would help you more in the business world. Dance on the other hand teaches you discipline, poise, and coordination.

It all depends on how you spin it. If you can describe what you learned/gained from either experience and how you will/want to use those things in your future, either is good. Its all in how you sell it.

The languages. Either dance or languages will set you apart as an applicant, though. Do whichever you think you’ll enjoy more.

They both look good. The languages show strong academic ability and unusual commitment, but the dance shows discipline, persistence and well-balanced interests (sorry, no pun intended).

I would think the language because it is more academic unless you are majoring in something related to dance.
