honor student….?
my parents dont know much about how school is these days and i told my parents i would try my hardest to get my honors diploma….they are very supportive …….always telling me to do good even tho they dont speak english they always try to find a way to help me out with my school last week they came home with a lap top so i wouldnt have to walk to the library all the time just to type up a report,,,,…i really really try my hardest at school i turn in all my home work i study for tests i pay attention in class i dont skip school and i always end up failing a class through out the trimester which now i cant get my honors ..i know that if i tell my parents that i cant get it ,,,its going to be okay ..i just dont want to disappoint my parents cuz they are so proud i dont want them to feel like i left them down…it makes me so mad my two friends always skip class the do drugs and even one of them is pregnant and the have a 4.0 they just tell me that they dont even try so hard at

Chica, I can tell you that I fully understand. Some things just come naturally to other people and it could be that their parents had the time to teach them a little so they learn to grasp the concept quickly. I can now say that I am good at math (my usually worse subject) because I worked my a$$ off going to tutors, getting help from the teacher after class, studying with other students for tests, and studying a lot at home. After I put in that much effort I came out as a top student. Sometimes you have to work twice as hard as those friends to get the same results! My advice is don’t compare yourself to them, focus not on the grades but on how well you grasp the concept. Everything else will fall in place, trust me I’ve been there. And the fact that your parents only speak Spanish and can’t help you but knowing how hard you try, buy you a computer…well that should be motivation enough to keep trying hard and NEVER give up!

I’m an honor scholar!!! 😀 I take “honors” categories and I do plenty of homework, possibly extra in-intensity assignments. It appears well for university, and it brings up my GPA by way of a factor; honors categories depend greater than consistent. In my college, any one makes the consideration roll in the event that they get an A- or higher in all their categories. So you do not always have got to be an honors scholar to be at the honor roll. :]

Some teachers will think because u hang out with people like your “Friends” who do drugs and stuff they will think youre the same and will not like u for it.

may you need to relax more . and if you get afraid before the exams then that’s big problem dont be afraid that’s only going to keep you away from focusing on your study . so be more relax and dont be afraid and best of luck for you.

Stop getting distracted, if your friends distract you, then discuss this with them. You don’t have to get perfect grades, but you should get decent grades.
