1250 is a good SAT score, but it’s not as competitive as it could be, especially with only a 3.0 GPA. Maintain your extracurricular activities! You’re involved in a lot. Schools admit on a combination of stuff. Not just GPA and test scores. Norwich Military College is a great school and of course The Citadel. Norwich is in Vermont. Check their website for admission criteria. Best of luck

Theoretically, you could get into any of them with those scores. However, it would be very difficult even with excellent grades, and I doubt you’d get in with those scores and a B average. For example, if accepted, you would be in the bottom 1/3 or worse of the freshmen class at all of them, just based on your SAT scores.

If this doesn’t pan out, you may consider the US Merchant Marine Academy. Strictly speaking, it’s not a military academy, although it’s about as close as you’re likely to get. With those scores, you would be in about the middle of the pack for your freshman class.

Get a letter of recommendation from a Senator or Representative and you might just make it in to your choice. It also helps if you know any officers or retired officers that will write you a letter as well.
