Which are the best universities for transfer students that want to transfer?
I am trying to find the right school to transfer, I am in a community college, have done 3 complete semesters and I am taking a summer class. I want to transwer by Fall 08. My GPA right now sucks (1..44) but by the end of the summer class (retaking a class passed with a D) it will be 2.0 if I get an A and it seems that I’m going to get it, but by the end of this Fall since I am retaking the two other D passsed classes and 2 more, I expect to have a 3.0 GPA, I am really commited so I know I will do it. I already have two universitites seriously in my mind (Brigham Young University, Idaho and Utah campus) but I want more options.
Please help, I live in Maryland and I’d like an out of state school, don’t really care about campus size.
I have NOT declared major yet… well, I did the other day for Biochemistry but I am not sure yet. Hmm… price is an issue too, I don’t want a 25-40 K yearly school neither.

any out of state college will be much more expensive, why not consider an state school, I understand you probably want to get out on your own away from parents etc, but you’ll still be able to do that if you attend a state school, just keep working on those grades, I don’t know about Maryland, but I’m in a college transfer program at a community college in NC and here any class with a grade lower than C will not transfer, so just search online for different universities in your state or out of state, you can find any information you need by simply looking on the particular school’s website.
