Where can I find a site or book that can translate English to Danish?
For a birthday present I want to get my father’s name tattooed on my arm. His grandfather was from =Denmark and was a naval hero in the town I grew up in and his name is the same as my fathers, I think to honor my father and the blood he gave me would be to get his name in Danish. I tried various websites and either I could not enter Proper names or they had no option to enter single letters………also I even visited BORDERS book store and could not find a Danish dictionary or translation guide……….any help??

I tried the online dictionaries suggested here with a very simple sentence to be translated from Danish to English – and they were completely wrong. So I think if you really want to try to translate something you would do better by buying/borrowing a dictionary, perhaps buying it online – or perhaps simply asking someone on answers to translate for you, which I’d also be happy to do.
But I don’t quite understand what it is you want to translate in the first place…usually names will be the same, unless your family has made some quite drastic changes to their Danish name and translated its meaning into English.
But good luck with it, sounds like a well-meant birthday present, if a little painful 🙂
