I did a paper on this as well back in high school. It is a very interesting, sad topic that most Americans know nothing about. You should read Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali. I don’t know how old you are but it is a good read, it might be too difficult if you are young. You could research her online and it would most definitely give you some information. She had this done to her and her book tells the story of her life.
Good luck, and I think it is really important to get this topic out there since most Americans shut their eyes to it and pretend it does not occur – it does occur, sometimes right here in the United States.
