When is the latest time I can take the SAT if I do not want to be late for my college application?

As a Junior, the latest you should take it is June of 2008. You can still retake it October of your Senior year, but to have out your initial applications June of 08 is your best last chance.

This is based on the fact that it is usually a 6-8 week delay in scoring, and most universities have early decision applications due late October, or have regular admission decision applications due in late December or early January.

Okay, as a Junior you still have alot of time compared to you becoming a senior. You should use this summer and the school time to focus on SAT studying as in vocab, math & cr practice and writing essays. However, when school starts you have to start managing your time in order to maintain a great GPA while studying for the SAT’s also. You have time to take it, I would recommend you taking it your during March, May, or June twice or if you get a great score then once. If you want to improve your scores than study during the summer of your senior year and take the SAT’s in October. If you want to do an Early Decision/Early Action look at the school of your choice and find their last date on accepting SAT scores or you can call them. Usually you would be fine when you take the SAT in October, no later than that. For rolling admission schools of your choice you should take it by October also. A scenario I have currently is that I’m becoming a senior yet I’m not satisfied with my SAT scores so I want to take it in October again. However, Purdue University my top choice right now starts their rolling admissions in mid-September so I want to send it early. However, I’m not too sure about my June SAT score being an acceptable score. That is why I’m going a little worried, however I’m taking the SAT’s in october again.

December of your senior year is the latest date for most colleges.
