There’s a word for “the skipping of some days of the week for a particular date, every 3 years,” is there?

It’s a little undescribable; I think it sarts with the letter L. Maybe “lithier or leathier,” I believe. For example, if my birthday was on the day of Monday, then the next year Tuesday, then the year after the next Wednesday and a year later it isn’t on Thursday but another day. Why does that happen? Is there a word for that?

It’s Leap Year, which adds one day, February 29, every fourth year. Since one day

is added, every date from March 1 of the Leap Year thru February 29 of the next is two weekdays later than the previous year, instead of the usual one day later.
