Whats up with people caring about spelling too much?

Too many misspellings and grammatical errors make you look unintelligent, and it’s usually not worth some people’s time to read it. If you’re in a hurry, then you’ll want to type properly so people can understand what you’re asking and respond quickly–It takes longer for us to decipher your question if your typing is a mess. That’s why some people don’t even bother. And so you lose some potential insight to your question, all because you didn’t have five seconds to check your spelling.
When people are plodding through constant grammatical and mechanical errors, they will form a negative opinion of your level of education. People will argue that it’s wrong to make judgments; however, people do it all of the time. It doesn’t make it right, just a part of life.
If you do not like people making disparaging comments about your atrocious grammar and spelling errors, work to improve your grammar and usage. The laziness of text messaging, as well as instant messaging, are only exacerbating the problem, regardless of what you might think.
One way or another, people will comment on how you write and speak. It’s part of life.
I leave you with the primary indicator of your laziness and “blame everyone but me. It’s not my fault” attitude:
“if you cant read it just stop and go away.. for some people it just waists time to spell and spell check and stuff.”
Talk about lazy.
I don’t mean to embarrass you, but be a little more careful in the future. I think Flava has the wrong temperament in his Q, but you’ve got to be ‘spot on’, or you’re sunk !!
‘Flava…’ – You’re gonna spell the way you do at any rate, just leave it at that and don’t ‘rant’ about being scolded for not only not caring, but b****ing about it too !!
Best – Mark B.
P.S. I almost left out the ‘a’ in temperament !! LOL
Also, improper spelling, can make people think that you are lazy and no one will pay atention to lazy people.
Edit:
I agree with jsoos. “This is a message board, not a chat room”
But I’m a spelling and grammer weenie when it comes to what I write or post (except for IM). My first undergraduate degree was in journalism. If you misspelled a word, it was an automatic 10 points off your grade. If you mispelled a name, that was a fact error and an automatic F. But just because I’m anal about me doesn’t mean others have to be the same.
I’m sorry….at first I thought you were kidding. Then I realized you were serious. Spelling is important my friend. If someone chooses to correct you, even in a nice way like I am, YOU have the option to ignore.
It works both ways.
Relax. This is ALL in fun.
