The substance formed id FeSO4 iron sulphate or sulfate. This is because iron is more reactive than Cu and can displace it from CuSO4. This is called DISPLACEMENT REACTION.

iron is MORE reactive than Copper, copper is very least reactive.
the nail dissolves because the solution is very active and thus it dissolves and also it should be in a temperature which is not at room temperature?
