What should I do first if I want to major in dentistry?

I’m 17 and going into my freshman year at a junior college. I’m required to take my general ed and was wondering if I should take any other classes relating to my major or should I transfer elsewhere after completing my general ed. Any other best suggestion would be very much appreciated! =]

if you want to be a dentist, there is no “dentistry” major. but you will need quite a bit of science classes so many will end up with a biology or chemistry major, but you really can major in whatever you want as long as you complete the required science classes. look up a few dental schools on line and see what their requirements are. you can probably fulfill some of them at the JC level. it will be easier for you to get a better gpa at the JC. try to get the very best gpa that you can because that will matter when you apply for dental school. IDK where you are, but UCSF has an excellent dental school
