What’s the advantages of sending your application in for early decision than early action or regular decision

I know that early decision is binding, but is there a higher chance of getting into the college of your choice if you choose early decision over early action or regular decision?

And when do you send your financial aid? Do you send it along with the application or do you wait to see if your accepted to send it?

Yes, if you apply for early decision, you will have a higher chance of getting into that respective college, but you must go if you get in and you’ll probably receive less financial aid from the school.

you can send in your financial aid forms at any time before the deadline, which is usually February 15.

With early decision/action you’ll receive your acceptance, deferral, or rejection by December, so there is plenty of time. If you’re deferred or accepted, you should submit the forms on or before the given deadline. No you do not send the financial aid info along with your application because different departments tend to sort all of that out. Regardless of what method you apply to a certain college for, you’ll need to send in your financial aid info by the deadline if you choose to get financial aid or unless you get rejected.

Edit: there is a higher chance of getting accepted in only early decision. early action may give you a slight advantage over a person in regular decision, but there isn’t that much of a difference

I had to do early decision the March before the fall I would have been entering college. Early decision does give you a better chance of getting in and getting housing, which is always a bust. Wait to see if you get accepted before you do financial aid. No sense in doing it if you don’t get in. I recommend early decision to anyone who knows what they want, the earlier, the better.
