Another one of my favorites is “Men kick friendship around like a football, but it doesn’t seem to crack. Women treat it like glass and it goes to pieces.” by Anne Morrow Lindbergh. I always thought that had a lot of truth to it.

Winston Churchill was a master of instant quotes, my favourites are; When being berated by Lady Astor in the Houses of Parliament she said ‘ Mr Churchill, if I was married to you I would put poison in your food’ he replied ‘ Madam if I was married to you, I would eat it’ the second was about Mrs Bessie Braddock, a large lady not renowned for her beauty, She said ‘Mr. Churchill you are drunk again, it would seem that you are always drunk’. he replied ‘ Madam, indeed I am, but you madam, you are ugly to the extreme, but tomorrow I shall be sober’
