What can I say to my 11 yrs old daughter who’s about to enter middle school? read more?
She will be starting 6th grade in September. This is a big change for her from elementary school. Also, she is large-busted ( a “D” cup!!:0)…I know that in middle-school, besides focusing on grades, kids are also susceptible to peer pressure. Any encouraging words that I can say to her would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

i was in her place just some years ago. just tell her it’ll be alot more fun then elementary school and that she’ll make tons of new friends. keep it simple. in 6th grade kids shouldn’t worry about their bodies. but make sure she is comfortable with her body. she will change when she goes through middle school–ALL kids do. try as hard as you can to make sure she knows she can talk to you and that your there for. also, try ti understand things from her point of veiw.

I would give her the ‘birds and bees’ talk. When I went into sixth grade, wow. There’s a lot of talk of sex. Kid’s do actually go drink and do drugs. Teach her that doing those things don’t make her cool. You need to prepare her, but let her grow up some on her own. Don’t be to overbearing, but definitely keep a close eye on her, and make sure that she’s not hanging out with the wrong kids. Talk to her daily about school and what problems she’s having. Don’t worry because that’ll only make her worry more. Be prepared for some mood swings and arguments, but understand that for the next 4-5 years she’s going to be going through some rough and trying times. Good Luck!

tell her about some of your expeirences, go shopping for new school stuff together, and I STRONGLY reccomend you buy her the american girl s guide to middle school. it’ll tell her everything she needsto know
