What is the best Montessori teaching diploma program?

Likewise, there are a number of bodies which will train teachers. AMI is one. UMA is another. I don’t believe that it really matters where you get certified or how you get certified. From my research, schools care more about the teacher’s understanding and implementation of the method rather than where they were certified. Hope that helps.
Did they observe you practicing the materials?
How much time did you spend in a Montessori classroom?
AMS and AMI are the 2 biggest organizations that are recognized worldwide:

www.montessori-ami.org (AMI)
I would look at their web site and find a training program. You can get anything from a certification up through a PhD…depending on how far you want to go with this.

Other schools align themselves with a certain interpretation AMI and AMS being the most prevalent. There are certain schools that will only accept one training certification for its employees or for its head teachers.
Since you have an on-line degree, I suggest you look into less established, smaller, lower profile schools. Perhaps maybe even a public program. In general they will be the ones that are more accepting of your degree.
Good Luck!
