What is a t-chart’s purpose and how do I organize the answers?

I have to do a comparison between Lady Macbeth and Frankenstein, and I’ve never done a t-chart before. Do I just put similarities of Lady on one side, and then do the same for Frankenstein on the other side? Thanks so much.
