What is a senior in college? Is it when your woking on your bachelors degree?

Lower Division: Students with fewer than 30 total units earned are considered freshman. Students who have earned between 30 and 59 total units are considered sophomores.

Upper Division: Students who have earned between 60 and 89 total units are considered juniors. Students who have earned 90 or more total units are considered seniors.

Graduate: Students who possess a recognized B.A. degree and are currently enrolled in a Graduate program.

It applies when you’re working towards your bachelor’s degree and goes more by credits than by years.

0-30 credits Freshman

30-60 Sophomore

60-90 Junior

90-120 (or more) is considered a Senior 🙂

Generally, it is the 4th year of college. Depending on what system the university uses, quarter or semester, a senior would have about at least 100+ units completed.

Anyone who has 90+/- credit hours is considered a senior.
