Good reccomendations from teachers or employers, a strong personal essay on a topic that interests you, good people skills in your interview, extracurriculars activities that you enjoy and expand on (such as if you are in the key club, you are one of the leaders of the key club), a sport, and volunteer work that shows that you care about others.

You really just need to show the university that you have goals and that you will stick with them, and that you are not like every other person that applies to them.
