Does “mom” mean anything? Somethings like “mum” or it’s not used at all? Thank you?

I am Russian and I saw the both words, they seemed to be used in a close resemblance. Please, be so kind to tell me the matter. Thank you so much!

Mom is an American Mum 🙂

They mean the exact same thing – mother. Mom is the typical American word, while Mum is typically used in Great Britain. It’s one of those variances between English and American English.

mum is used in like london by the british while mom is used here in American they are teh same thing but jsut said differently in differnt places

Yes, they are the same…other variations include mommy, mummy, ma, mother…all refer to the maternal parent.
