What do you think of LOL people?

Any abbreviations, and expressions that are considered computer, or text message language, as well as any other made up language, is not only annoying it is simply bad form; even when used in an “informal” manner.

This type of speaking/writing once it becomes a habit is harder to break than people think, and I cannot tell you how many job applications end up in file 13 (garbage cans), or how many interviews are cut short because of a lack of proper communication skills, both orally, and written.

If I have any advice for people who use this type of language on a daily basis; do yourself a favor, drop it like a hot rock.

I do use LOL!! but i don’t use it when i speak and I don’t use it to start and finish a sentence, and I am very intelligent! I just use it when my words could be taken either bad or good. It just shows I’m joking or being playful.. But i would think it was weird if i was speaking with someone and they said LOL or if they used it excessively…

I don’t know anyone who uses it to start and end all of their sentences but if I did, it would annoy me. It is overkill using it when one speaks and not just types. Maybe they don’t even realize they are doing it.

when i was in the Philippines, LOL is known as laugh at loud, same in the USA right? but it has a different connonation when it comes to the language. My mother is a Filipina. She has taught me the languag since i was little. and ULOL is attributed to dogs who are being crazy…yes, and in the Filipino version of the Bible, he word ulol is the worst word you could ever curse a person..its translated as crazy, stupid & nonsense…sorry, when i first read it in a letter, i was shocked bout my friend’s letter because i never used that word and i thought she was cursing me, by the way,in the Philippines nowadays, some curses are jut slip of the tongue and were not meant to be especialy when you ar having fun with your friends…

I personally use lol when i don’t know what to say or when I’m laughing hard, and I’m instant messaging someone. it’s not fair to belittle people and call them stupid just because they use different terms in which you find annoying I’m pretty sure there’s something you do too that annoys people.

people are people and they do what they like. no use bashing them for it.

i find lol to be acceptable.

lol is ok if you write it a little but not when they use it in their sentences before and after

some people even dream it

why are you one i hate them in my school i bet people up just for doing that
