If you are an evolutist, the chicken hatched from an egg laid by a proto-chicken.

If you are a creationist, The chicken was created and it laid the egg.

A paleontologist would point to evidence that reptiles laid eggs for millions of years before chickens were around.

And while the evolutionist, creationist, and paleontologist wre arguing about who was right, an existentialist would say, “What difference does it make?”, then cook up the egg, with some sausage, busquits and gravy on the side and enjoy breakfast.

so you all thing the egg came first, do you think god just put a egg on earth then came the chicken, god created all creatures all the birds in the air, no where does it say in the bible there was an egg and out came a chicken,

chicken came first.

Assuming you mean a chicken egg, and that the egg is defined by what comes out of it, the egg came first. If the egg is defined by what it came out of, then the chicken came first.

I would guess that they both evolved together. In other words, the first chicken wasn’t what we know as a chicken today, and before there were eggs, they could have been things similar to eggs, but not quite as hard, etc.

The chicken of course, what laid the plurry egg. If you believe God made all creatures, I cannot see him making an egg first, after all, it would not hatch unless a chook sat on it, would it. WHO kept it warm?

Ah, Dwayne, great concept, yeah, that sounds good, like, God made Adam and realised what a mistake he had made, so he made Eve.

God made an egg, realised what a mistake it was, said, dammit, who is gonna sit on the egg till it hatches, so he made a chicken to do the work. Good one, both theories suit me. JB

you are right

the egg came first

in evolution, the time when a creature evolves is when it is being developed,

in the chicken’s case, it evolves while inside the egg,

so the first chicken, or first group of chickens, evolved while inside their eggs, and the parents of the first chicken or group of chickens were not a fully fledged chicken,

but their child was.

therefor the egg came first

So you’re saying that you think the creature that layed the egg was not a chicken but almost one? If thats so, I would have to agree with you. Good thought

Let’s look at this scientifically, based on the evidence at hand.

Dinosaurs laid eggs.

Chickens are birds, which we know evolved from dinosaurs.

Since dinosaurs laid eggs, and then evolved into chickens, it’s quite clear the egg came millions of years before the chicken. No question!

I think it was the egg. The chicken is considered a bird and I think over million of years of cross breeding of other birds we now have what we call a chicken.
