What are the major accomplishments of Greeks in Philosophy?

They invented it, for starters (philosophia).

They also developed all of the sub-divisions of philosophy (logic, metaphysics, physics, epistemology, etc.), and determined the dominant philosophical models that shaped western thought for centuries.

They are as influential and important as people have implied. As to them being the only philosophy until Descartes came, this is false as it is a mere bias western view of world history. There existed many great civs and empires between the Greeks and Descartes with comparable philosophies of their own.
