cal state fullerton or chapman?
which is a better university? why?
my major is sociology with emphasis in social work, if that helps.

Just so you know neither of these schools has an accredited social work program, which means that your emphasis on social work will not get you very far. You might look at CSWE.ORG at the CSU’s that have accredited BSW programs so that you will be eligible to apply for advanced standing to an MSW program. DA

Social Work? Than Fullerton. Why pay for Chapman if you’re entering a low paying (albeit fulfilling) job? Don’t believe that crap Chapman spews about being a “smaller Harvard or Stanford”.
