What are some examples in our lives that show the connection between science and religion?

Many early religions, cults, and so-called magical practices shared a similar goal with early science: To understand and explain the patterns of the world. They simply didn’t have the structure and strict methodology that we use (and still grows and changes) today in modern science, or employed faulty logic. (See my link on Pseudoscience for more on that.)
Many of the early Toaistic religions smack of modern Quantum Mechanical Theory in their assumptions about the flow of time and creation, and alchemy and Hermetical practices gave rise to modern chemistry and many of the tools used then are still used today! Isaac Newton believed that gravity caused the planets to revolve about the Sun, and claimed with was simply an expression of God’s design.
