Typically, most colleges will only offer a Business major and you yourself specify Business Law as perhaps a concentration. Business Law may not be a formal major, but a major close to it is Trust Management. Trust Management is only offered at a very select group of schools, and it closely tied to Business Law and Accounting. Check out Campbell University’s website about Trust Management. As far as Business Law is concerned, another close major to examine would be regular Business Administration or even Pre-Law.

Good luck!

Uh… why would anyone waste there time with a business law major. In business you use a lawyer for legal issues and a business law major doesn’t allow you to practice law, in fact you have to be very careful about advice you give of a legal nature if you aren’t an actual lawyer because it would could constitute practing law with out a license which is a crime.

If you think you want to be a lawyer that understands business then get yourself a degree in business and then go to law school. I’m not even sure a business law major even exists. In every business program I’m familiar with, from undergrad business programs to Ivy MBA programs business law is normally confined to 1 class.

I think you need to define what you are trying to do, then maybe someone can make a suggestion that could help you. Right now, your looking for a unicorn.

Most colleges probably offer classes in business law, but not a degree in it. I would say your best bet if that’s the path you want to go is to get a business degree and then go to law school, because even if you were to find a school that offered that major I can assure you the school would tell you to have your clients to consult a business attorney. I’ve known several people that have gone down this road and have been quite successful. Hope this helps you out and didn’t go to far off the beaten path.

like Kosmo K said, you will most likely major in Business and choose business law as your concentration . . . or you could even pursue a general business major with a prelaw minor or a prelaw major with a business major . . . either way, it will probably get you the education you want . . . so just about any school with a business program will do (and few universities don’t have business programs), but the following schools have majors in both business and prelaw

Campbell University (Buies Creek, NC)

Gardner-Webb University (Boiling Springs, NC)

Jacksonville University (Jacksonville, FL)

Longwood University (Farmville, VA)

University of Tennessee: Knoxville (Knoxville, TN)
