Thinking of going to school in the East Coast?
I am looking for schools/universities/etc. for fashion designing in the East Coast. Can anyone recommended any or give me some advice about moving to go out of state for school? thanks.

Two of the strongest schools in N. America for fashion design are in NYC: The Fashion Institute of Technology, and Parsons. The program at the Rhode Island School of Design is also very strong. I suggest you check these out.
It can be a great thing, applying to a school that is far from home. Sometimes, schools will smile on you, as you’ll add geographic diversity to their class. This is good. However, at every school I mentioned, there are a lot of students who attend who aren’t from the east coast, so you’ll in no way be alone in your experience.

Just make sure to really look into the area you will be living and the costs associated with it. I would definitely live on campus if I were you because you won’t be use to the area. Other then that don’t worry-the east coast is a great place to go to college-take it from someone who has lived many places and went to the U of Pitt. Have a great time in college!
