Student Teaching in the summer time?

Does anyone know of any colleges that offer student teaching in the summer time? I heard about it at a college in California. Do you know of anymore?

It would have to be a college that has a summer (3rd) semester since you would need supervision. The other possibility is doing student teaching via a part time course that runs in the summer. A problem with this is that you pay full time tuition for the overall course and then extra to do the part time piece.

Most colleges don’t offer student teaching in the summer because the local public schools are not in session during the summer. The exception would be a school that is year-round but even then you must have a qualified teacher to supervise. Most likely you will have to do the student teaching between September and June.

Some schools out here might do it because there are some districts that are year round. My school doesn’t offer it which I wish they did because then I would be done with schooling. You will just have to ask Universities.
