See details. The best quote you’ve ever heard?

What’s the quote that’s affected you the most? What does it mean? and if you can remember who said it?

Here’s a few from Norman Vincent Peale, John Hagee and William James. (Norman and John were and are strong believers).

‘Throw your heart over the bar(barrier) and your body will follow’

‘Even a seed of faith could move a mountain’

Don’t die being a cheap copy’ (trying to be someone else’

‘If you’ve got more memories than dreams, your life is over’.

‘If God be for us, who can be against us’.

The greatest factor in any undertaking is one’s belief about it’.

and finally:

‘Expect the best, work toward it and grab it by the tail’

Block all the negatives that come to your mind for a day.. – even small things like ‘I always have to do the dishes’ or ‘It’s too cold to get the washing off the line’ and you will fall asleep happy tonight – It Works! Tell me how it goes!

Yours are excellent. Here are two of my favorites:

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

“What we are is God’s gift to us. What we become is our gift to God.” – Eleanor Powell

Here’s one that literally changed my life: Years ago, I was inspired by the scene in the movie Braveheart at the end, when the French princess tells William Wallace (who’s about to be executed) that she doesn’t want him to die. He responds, “every man dies, but not every man truly lives.” That quote was part of my inpsiration to finally take that backpacking trip through Europe that I had always dreamed about. I met my wife on that trip!

A quote, by definition, is something someone else said. What’s sad is how often people leave out the attribution.

My favorite is “Don’t let others steal your joy.”

Once this concept became embedded in my mind, it changed my life. I don’t know who said it (although I know it’s scriptural) but one day in 2003 I wrote it on a sticky note and stuck it to the lamp on my desk. It has been there ever since, even through a move.

“Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. It means that you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections.”

I like this one a lot, cause people think that you can be happy if you have everything going for you, but in truth, it’s not that way.

Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.

I love that quote!

“Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people”….Eleanor Roosevelt.

The best quote I’ve ever come across…it keeps me at a higher level as I do not like nor want the drama that comes with small minded people.

“Be nice to everyone you meet, they might be fighting a BATTLE you know nothing about!”

I am sure someone has copyrighted it but I have used this for years. Basically don’t judge a book by it’s cover.
