I used to play the piano and I ‘would’ play the piano are related but not exactly the same.

‘Would’ could be confusing. It could mean different things, like: “I would play the piano if I knew how.” which is not past tense.

‘He would cheat on the girl’ and ‘He’d cheat on the girl’ mean exactly the same thing. He’d is a contraction of ‘he would’, it’s just a faster way of saying or writing it.

None of these sentences are rude.

There’s very little difference between the two to be honest, he’d is just an abbreviation of the words he would, like saying don’t and can’t ^^ Did you also mean he would cheat on the girl? It’s not that what you’ve written is incorrect, but it sounds a little strange 🙂

Neither is really more rude.

That said, cheating people is not nice.

— saying “he’d” is very informal compared to “he would”.
