please i need help with these math problems.?

The midpoint of CD is m. calculate the missing coordinates.

1.)c(3,6)d(7,2)m(_,_)

2.)c(-3,1)d(5,-5),m (_,_)

3.)c(4,1)d(_,_)m(3,2)

4.)c(_,_)d(2,4)m(5,1)

The Midpoint Formula:

The midpoint of a segment with endpoints (x1 , y1) and (x2 , y2) has coordinates ((x1+x2)/2, (y1+y2)/2)

In other words, average the two x-coordinates to get the x-coordinate of the midpoint and average the two y-coordinates to get the y-coordinate of the midpoint.

What Anand said,

and for 3 and 4 just use the midpoint formula and plug in the variables that are given and it is easy to solve for the remaining variable

for example in number 3

(x1 + x2)/2 = x

the coordinates of c are (4,1) and the midpoint is (3,2) so just use the x value of the point c and the x value of the midpoint and solve for the x value of d

(4 + x)/2 = 3

4 + x = 6

x=2

do the same for the y values

(1+x)/2 = 2

1 + x = 4

x = 3

so the answer to number 3 is (2,3) and the same thing goes for number 4
