please help quick science question?

A solar car is an electric vehicle powered by solar energy obtained from solar panels on the surface of the car. Photovoltaic (PV) cells convert the sun’s energy directly into electrical energy. Solar cars are not practical day-to-day transportation devices at present, but are primarily demonstration vehicles and engineering exercises.

First, you have the solar panels on top of the car. A solar car works by converting light energy to electrical energy into mechanical energy.

HOW SOLAR POWER WORKS

Once electricity is generated, it is put to use inpowering the car’s wheels

you could probably use a solar panel, which will convert solar into electric. then use an electric motor to convert it into mechanical. or you could do something along these lines

You might want them to charge batteries (my main point here) when the sun shines…batteries in turn run electric motors to turn a drive shaft.
