A tragity, the simple one Lenny who does not know his own strength and likes to stroke soft things the the mouse, accidently kills the wife of Charlie trying to stroke her soft hair and she in a struggle thinks he is trying to rape her.

A lynch mob is after him, so hispartner, George shoots him, before they hang him. Destoying their American dream, gets spoiled for the both. They were migrant workers, back in the great depression, 1930’s want to raise enough money to buy a small farm. About the times and plight of the migrant workers, the first chapter gives you a rough sketch about the haracters and why they always have to move to another town because of Lenny, the dumb one, mentally deficent. Lenny was a mouse or a man? Lenny was a weak character but as harmless as a mouse, that was what the title was about. A sad story, it is a classic, everyone remember that one.and strong as a horse.
