My grades? OMG HELP!!?

Ok I took a psych class this summer, and it just ended. I figured out my grade and according to me got a 69%, which just two points away from a C. And there was this 5 pt extra credit to do, which I couldn’t do bc I had to pick up my little brother on the day after class we did it. The first day, I was there after class, but he didn’t have it ready. So the second day, I couldn’t stay.

Anyway so I emailed him saying I think I’m only two points away can you round up etc. He emails me back with, “I will post final grades this weekend, but YOU GOT A C.” He didnt do the caps, I did, lol.

So the grades were just posted…and on it it says I have a D. 69.17%. WTF??

On the good news, I still do get credit for the class just as if I got an A, B, or C, and since it’s not one of my major classes it will slide. Just is general ed. And more “good” peace-at-mind news is that (i figured it out to see what would I have gotten if I did the 5 pts extra, bc the first time I forgot to multiply by a 100)

call him or visit him in office hours

ive had teachers like this, they blow.

bring a copy of all the e-mails done between you two as documented proof, but ONLY USE THEM AS A LAST RESORT

if you whip em out, hes gonna feel like you’re trying to go over his head and he’ll deny your grade. just be nice and talk to him like its just a misunderstanding, which it might be.

if he finally decides he doesnt remember you or hes gonna leave your grade, just show him the e-mails and tell him you really need to grade to be higher.. thats about all you can do, i dont think you literally want to go to his department head haha

First off you admit you did not do the extra credit, nor did you earn the grade. You are making excuses. The teacher might have been giving you the grade as it stood at that point before the final grade etc. You admit he said the grades were not done or posted. Remember your email also asked him if he could just round up for you. That is not fair to the students who actually did the work. You are both at fault.
